GS Lateral - Interview
Hi, 2nd year analyst at another BB. Was invited for 3 x 30min interviews at GS for an Asso role.
What should I expect please? Will this be mostly technical? Fit? What kind of questions etc
Thx

Bump, would appreciate any insights into the AN process too
We used to live in a world where people prepped for interviews and done them. Of course, asking people who have done the process helps.
Now we are in a world where people make threads on WSO to ask if fit questions or technicals will come up for an associate role at Goldman Sachs.
This is how you know quality of analysts have dropped SIGNIFICANTLY in London.
Cry
every interview now is just get the questions in advance off your network or the older kids from your university. There are question banks for certain university clubs that have the questions going back 10 years. Even the model tests / case studies most people are getting those in advance. It's crazy how rigged it's become.
good luck brodi go get em
Which team?
Feedback: my interview was for the IND team. Very quick 3 x 30min with Asso/VP/ED
Mostly questions around my experience in my current banks (i didn't do any major sellside which seems to be a bit of an issue)
Some technical questions: LBO and EPS exercise
Best of luck
Thanks for the feedback - did you make it to the next round and do you know how many rounds / whether there is a case study?
In process for their RE M&A position, will share feedback here too
How are you interviewing at GS for an associate role as a 2nd year analyst?! All associate roles require minimum 3 years of IB…
Mmh I don't know. I am indeed a 2nd year analyst and I assumed this was for an Asso 0 role (GS has a 2y analyst program)
