GPA Issue

I am a freshman at a non-target school majoring in Finance and Math (think Baruch, Rutgers, UMD). I have a GPA of 3.7 and by the end of 2024 I am expected to complete 3 internships (1 at a PE search fund and 2 at very small investment banks <10 people). I have been networking around for a bit and stepping up the process over the summer. I kinda messed up in terms of classes this semester and I am worried that it will be a major issue during recruiting. What more should I do to better my chances, and if so, is it possible to break into a IB?

A 3.7 is fine for BBs from a school like that, I was in the exact same position at one of the above mentioned schools and landed a BB offer. Just focus on networking
