When Should I Follow Up Again (if at all) ?
Hi All,
I'm currently in FP&A at a BB and I applied to an internal IB capital markets role about 5 weeks ago. Since applying I've had 6 interviews, the most recent one was 2 weeks ago with the MD, and I felt that it went well. A couple of days after the interview, I was asked to complete a writing assignment as the last step of the process and that they'd get back to me by the end of the week.
The week went by and I didn't hear anything so the following Monday afternoon I sent a note asking if they had an updated timeline. I got a response a couple days later saying that they were still working through some things but that they would get back to me.
Anyway, It has been almost 2 weeks since completing the writing assignment, and a week since they said they were still working through some things. I don't want to pester them and I am perfectly fine with waiting, but I want to make sure that I stay top of mind and that they know I'm still very interested. Is it worth sending another short follow up to the hiring manager?
Hope I've provided enough context and I apologize if the timeline I laid out above is tough to follow. I appreciate any help on this!
Don’t follow up. It has never led to an offer for me besides when I had a verbal offer. Just move on.
Thank you for your advice! I ended up getting the offer :)
