KEA Consultants London

Hi!

I just wanted to see whether anyone has had any particular experiences with KEA. I know they are probably the HH firm in London for MF PE exits, but they have been described as rude and arrogant on this forum. Therefore, I have a couple of questions for PE Recruiting.
Do they reach out to you? If not, when should you contact them?
Which banks and especially groups are they usually targetting? What is their position concerning M&A vs LevFin vs Sponsors vs Industry Coverage?
Do they provide you with a client list upon meeting them? Is it accurate that you only get to choose one firm? If so, when are you supposed to make that decision?

Thanks!

Interacted with them a couple of times. Once I reached out for opportunities and they seemed to shut me down because I am not a typical candidate. In another occasion, I reached out as I knew they were recruiting for a particular firm, and they happily put me through the process and had a great impression of them, they are extremely professional.

I had a negative experience. Reached out to Jeremy Cowen, who apparently leads their VC recruitment and says he is happy with the cold outreach in his LinkedIn profile. Sent him several messages - we are already connected on LinkedIn - he saw all of them and never replied. I wouldn’t bother with them. Heard some negative comments about their venture capital practice recently too.

I went through a process with them in London. They were extremely professional and were the ones to reach out. They have the most mandates in London for MF PE recruiting at junior levels. For the process I was in, they targeted all BBs, irrelevant of which team you were in. They do not provide you with their client list when you meet them but will mention the existing processes that may fit your profile.

Depending on bank they will reach out already during your summer - They organize a networking breakfast with Blackstone and Silverlake every summer! If you are at a good firm it's gonna be fun as you will meet half your intern class there!

They reached out again after that to see what my plans for future were - I thought they were very professional at all times and always happy to accomodate my needs (last min cancellations and/or meeting on weekends)

If you are interested in something specifically, I think it cannot hurt to reach out to them. However, if you are at a strong bank they will reach out for sure! Just make sure your LinkedIn is updated as they reached out there for the first time (at least this was the case for me and some friends)

Idk, texted him on LinkedIn few days ago and will have a first sync next week. I do have not typical cv but still worked out
