Private Equity in Singapore

What's the landscape for private equity in Singapore? Who are the top firms to work for? What's the process to break in? For context, I'm an incoming FT analyst at a MF PE firm (ignore title) in the States, but I spent some of my childhood in Singapore before moving to the UK for secondary school and then to the US for college. I'm not a Singapore citizen though and was wondering if it's feasible to break into Singapore PE given my background (I want to go back because my parents are planning on moving back to Singapore and I have friends in the city as well).
