You’re in a fantastic spot. Focus on doing a good job at your internship and then re-evaluate. I was in a similar position when I was in college and I wish I had kept a more open mind.
My junior yr internship was at a sub $1B VC fund in Boston helping scrub leads for an associate to cold call and source. I didn’t get a return offer cause they could tell I wanted to do banking.
After graduation I went to a third tier bank in nyc where the work was just as boring (but more painful cause of facetime) and I was getting no looks from buy side shops. Meanwhile that VC fund was raising ever larger funds (they’re currently in market targeting $6B across multiple funds) and doing deals with the hottest startups.
Looking back it seems silly that I didn’t value the opportunity I had in front of me. I think the thing is sometimes there are unique opportunities thrown your way where nobody else has truly relevant experience so you gotta apply extra judgement in how you weigh others advice / opinions.
Just do your best at your internship, learn as much as you can, and then at the end, trust your gut. Careers are long and they certainly aren’t decided by where you interned at
