GSAM Sales (TPD) vs GS PWM Analyst
Which position would you choose and why? (please rank in order)
1) GSAM Sales Position:

2) GS PWM Financial analyst (entry-level) position
3) GS PWM Client analyst (entry-level) position
I think that client analyst would certainly be last. Its basically the person who processes the wires.
Anyone else have input? I'd be interested in others' thoughts about this ranking as well.
bump
bump...
I haven't heard of the client analyst? Can you elaborate on that?
As far as im aware, the fin. analyst also does the grunt work...wires, paperwork etc...I don't know what the separation is with client analyst. I believe the analyst role is a 2 year stint and then its good luck.
GSAM sales would probably be based out of chicago where I know some of the GSAM sales people are based. You will work with private client groups / fa's doing presentations and answering questions they have on specific portfolios. You basically are a liaison between the pms at gsam and fa's who have questions. Not sure about how you start off / progression.
