Any insights on Tencent business development role?

Hi all,

I am recently invited for a role at Tencent and any insight would be highly appreciated. The role would be senior business development manager based in Asia.

  1. How is corporate rank structured at Tencent? Is it Analyst/Manager > Senior Manager > Associate Director > Director > Head of division? What years of experience is typically required for a senior manager role? I have total 6.5 years of experience coming from banking/PE and would like to know by getting senior BD manager title, if I am discounting myself or if this would be in-line with the market. Based on linkedin search, people with similar experience tend to also have senior manager titles, but surprisingly sometimes associate director or director titles.

  1. With 6.5 yoe from banking/PE, what should be my expectation on comp package? Glassdoor data says median USD 270k (150k base + 120k bonus) for Tencent senior BD manager based in the US with 7-9 yoe. I am based in Asia, currently at MM PE and my total comp is USD 260k (130k base + 130k bonus). Should I expect senior BD manager role in Asia to offer similar total comp (c. 260~270k, with base portion being higher as I wouldn't expect corp dev role to pay 100% of base as bonus?), or significantly lower package in Asia (e.g. USD 130~140k base + 10~20% bonus)? Per my search on this forum, for corp dev role with c. 7 yoe, USD 150-160k base + 10-20% bonus seems to be the market in the US
