Project Finance -> Exit Opportunities

Hello monkeys,

I've just lined up a graduate job with a "Big 4 Bank" in Australia and am planning on going down the project finance (PF) or leveraged finance pathway.
I find renewables interesting and it's quite specialised given the specific financial modelling requirements.
There are some threads here already but none are Australia-specific.. I'm aware that investment banks are known to occasionally hire from PF into their LevFin divisions and infrastructure/renewable energy funds also view the skillset highly.

I'm wondering if anybody knows more about exit opportunities or can provide some advice/direction for an ambitious corporate banking grad that didn't quite make it to IB.

Would love to hear anything PF or LevFin related!
US anecdotes are okay too.

interned off cycle in structured finance with a focus on project finance in an EU MM bank out of APAC - worked closely with a few aus banks as well

from what i saw, most guys tended to stay with the same bank in the same group, i think this being a function of PF balancing truly solid hours with decent comp and really interesting work

saw some guys exit to larger banks (ING / SMBC) for PF as well

Hi guys

I would like your view. I am an associate in Natural Resources PF in a Japanese bank doing mainly lending and a few advisory mandates. My previous experience is purely PF financial advisory Analyst and as Transaction/Corporate Finance advisory Analyst for 1.5 years each.

What are my exit options?

If there is anyone exited PF please send me DM

Thanks in advance!!!!
