Kinderhook Industries
Has anyone heard about their culture, comp, path to promotion, etc? The last post on them is 10+ years old. At first glance seems like a fairly industry-agnostic ~$3b MM fund.

From what I’ve heard returns have been so so lately
They were a top group from Fund III to recently, fund returns have been mixed recently. They just did a really large secondary to clean up their portfolios and try to get LPs to re-up into the fund they're currently raising. This was the third or fourth secondary they've done. I would be weary.
To clarify, I think the last fund is $1.1B (the firm manages ~$3B total).
It looks like 2 VPs and one senior associate (only one listed) didn't go to business school. I also see multiple MDs who didn't get their MBAs so I'd guess that business school isn't required to get promoted.
Thank you for the correction and insight 🤝
bump - thoughts anyone?
Really good at auto-related investments
Bump
I accepted a position but decided to take a different job/industry/geography, etc. With that said, the culture was extremely collegial with the founders being genuinely good people. The team has certainly grown over the years, which makes sense given how acquisitive their largely roll-up focused strategy. Would certainly recommend going through the process.
bump. any update on 2025 process
info on comp?
Would guess low but not sure.
Anyone know what is going on with Fund 7? Says -29% IRR on pitchbook... assuming that is a NM figure, but anything here to note?
