Recruiting for PE Analyst Roles as a Laid off Banker with 6-7 months experience

Title essentially. I am a laid off banker who is looking for IB/PE Analyst roles since it's pointless recruiting for 24 associate jobs.

I reached out to headhunters yesterday but am wondering if anyone had recommendations on recruiting for PE analyst roles - was told by a HH that there could be interest so wanted to learn more about the recruitment and hiring process if anyone knew.

Going to be an uphill battle. 6 months experience is tough timing, you're not tenured enough for places looking for 1-2 years experience (senior analyst). You're basically hoping a place is filling a spot of someone who left after 6 months, or is hiring because they are so busy (neither is likely in this environment)

Definitely talk to HHs but I would not call this a busy market right now... think you need to be open to a lot more than just IB or PE as those are both difficult right now
