Undergrad LSE vs Warwick vs UVA vs CMU Tepper vs IU Kelley vs HKU vs HKUST
Can you please rank these schools in terms of chance of breaking into IB?
I know it is hard to compare schools from different countries, but I just want to hear from different perspectives :)

Breaking into IB in which country? Mainland EU? UK? US? Where are you a citizen? Breaking in as a foreign citizen is extremely difficult (visa hurdles)
Im Korean, so I would need to get a visa (which i know can be a hard process) if I end up wanting to work in HK, the US, or UK.
Interesting, in that case I would honestly find out where it is the easiest to get sponsored and go there. I have friends from Asia who were top candidates in their classes but simply could not get Visas to stay and work in the US
LSE > Warwick for EU
UVA >>> CMU & IU Kelley by a long shot for US
HKU > HKUST (only saying this because HKU is in the middle of the city vs. an hour commute from HKUST-- if you want to work in finance you can network and do things year round already being in the city)

CMU and IU could go either way, IU sends about 100 kids into banking each year (although nowadays mostly MM because the head of their IB workshop used to work in MM IB) but an argument could be made for the CMU brand name, perception of being intelligent. CMU isn't really a target but that is because it is a great engineering and science school so most kids there aren't interested in banking, but the ones that are don't have too many problems as long as they maintain their grades and network
LSE is a no brainer
As others have said it depends on where you'd want geographically, however LSE is usually the best known school worldwide.
LSE is super easy to get in compared to the US schools and a lot of people I know don’t end up with good placements.
I didn’t get into LSE but got into UVA and better US schools. It just depends on your profile, LSE cares less about where you are from/what you do, but rather about your passion for a subject.
If you put some effort in at any target you’ll get good offers.
LSE has a very international student body as well. Probably a lot of people in similar situations to yourself.
Just do LSE man and have a nice life banking in London. if you want to get to the US go to UVA or I guess IU and make sure you get into the IBW. but it’s an uphill battle from these semi-targets and you’ve got a 25% chance of getting your H1-B sponsored or else you’re kicked out of the country. the U.K. won’t do that to you.
UVA and IU are not comparable
