What are B-Schools looking for? From what I've seen, even the top schools have avg GPA 3.5-3.6 and GMAT around 700. Sure, work experience is important, but I would assume all the people applying to top schools have great experience. What else sets people apart?

I'm relatively "fresh" out of B-school ('eh 18 mos.?) and not too removed from having gone thru the application process. My general opinion is... I believe the best schools look for "mix", i.e. they try to have an entering class that's diverse with broad academic backgrounds and experiences. If you have the GPA and you also have the gmat score, then the remainder is your "story" and how you will add to the classroom and networking experience in B-School.
