Da Vinci Derivatives vs Other Prop Shops

Hi there,

I have progressed to the final round with this company for the Graduate Trader programme and was hoping anyone could offer me some further insight into their firm compared to other shops.

This firm has been round since 2015 and is already recruiting from top Target Schools in the UK (Oxbridge, Imperial, Warwick), based on some profiles I have seen there have been traders who have left Optiver to work for this firm including Optiver's previous head of research.

I'm trying to understand how this firm compares to others (JS, CitSec, Optiver, IMC, Flow, DRW, Jump) in terms of the following criteria:

  • WLB
  • Total compensation
  • Career progression

I understand this firm gets involved with more position taking trading strategies unlike most elite prop shops which are purely market makers. I also understand this firm has set up an office in India and is looking to set up 2 additional offices in the US and Asia.

If anyone could offer some insight about how the firm compares based on the criteria then I would be most grateful.

Thanks in advance,
