lending I think. under CRE application. is there a REIB group you can apply to by applying directly into the investment bank?

If its the position I am thinking of, its a rotational program moving between a few different groups. I'm not sure that they're the same for all interns, but I know for certain that it includes Treasury, CRE Banking, and CRE Lending (the position I am referencing, that is). I've heard of a rotational program that also including Business Banking and/or Private Banking but I am not sure that is the same internship

CRE Banking is the division that most on this forum likely have serious interest in. Lending is for the Commercial & MF properties located primarily in major metros around the US (Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe it's actually a national platform). I think the lending group is one of their bigger groups in the bank and is pretty vanilla. Not familiar with the other departments

EDIT: Just to add that this info was from about 2 years ago when I was networking leading up to an interview period. I met a guy who was on the Commercial side at Chase and explained the different groups to me since it was sort of difficult to decipher between them on LinkedIn

Where did you hear this from? Do you think CRE is at the same level of competitiveness as traditional FO roles like IB, S&T, etc?

What are the exit opportunities from a role like this, would you stay in lending or is a move to REPE reasonable. I think lending is really cool btw just want to understand how the role equips you long term.

I did my hirevue around the same time you did and I got dinged a week or two ago so if you haven't that might be a good sign.

Had a first round post-Hirevue offer come through last week, turned it down due to a signed contract at a boutique multifamily firm in my city, little tough but it's currently occurring if that's you're wondering

I go to a target school and the team was doing interviews for a day and a half straight, so interviews are going on , but not necessarily from the online app

Anyone know how many candidates usually attend a superday for this program?

same. good luck to everyone - from now on in this thread pls mention the office you interviewed. I was for NYC. when do you think we'll hear back?

I actually have no idea. the superday was blended with different offices. seemed like there were about 10-12 students in total interviewing across NY, Dallas, Chicago and maybe one more office

not CRE but i had a superday for CCBSI at JPM's LA office and they haven't gotten back to me yet even though someone already got an offer...should i just assume i got waitlisted/dinged? did people in your interview group hear back the same day, or did everyone hear back in a week like you did?

Did anyone that interview for CRE at the NYC office receive an offer or a rejection. I know they said to give it two weeks but I have heard that if you do not hear back soon it means you got rejected.

I applied for CRE NYC and haven't heard back yet from the superday. Best advice I can give is to try not to think about it too much because there's nothing you can really do at this point in the process to change that or control it so head up and stay positive. Cheers
