yeah me too. doesn't seem to say when it's due by. do you know how long we have to complete it?
Got one as well
Got mine today and didn’t see anything saying a date. Anyone know if this is for all offices?
Did you attach a cover letter?
Would you say that by not submitting a cover letter it justifies me being rejected in
Anyone heard back after submitting their hirevue?
is this for their REIB group or lending?
lending I think. under CRE application. is there a REIB group you can apply to by applying directly into the investment bank?
To my understanding, the SA role exposes the intern class to multiple teams - lending, banking and more.
If its the position I am thinking of, its a rotational program moving between a few different groups. I'm not sure that they're the same for all interns, but I know for certain that it includes Treasury, CRE Banking, and CRE Lending (the position I am referencing, that is). I've heard of a rotational program that also including Business Banking and/or Private Banking but I am not sure that is the same internship
CRE Banking is the division that most on this forum likely have serious interest in. Lending is for the Commercial & MF properties located primarily in major metros around the US (Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe it's actually a national platform). I think the lending group is one of their bigger groups in the bank and is pretty vanilla. Not familiar with the other departments
EDIT: Just to add that this info was from about 2 years ago when I was networking leading up to an interview period. I met a guy who was on the Commercial side at Chase and explained the different groups to me since it was sort of difficult to decipher between them on LinkedIn
Last year interviews were in September and October. From what I understand it’s a very competitive program with a lot of growth opportunity within the firm, around a 2% intern ‘acceptance’ rate
Where did you hear this from? Do you think CRE is at the same level of competitiveness as traditional FO roles like IB, S&T, etc?
what cities are you guys/gals applying to?
New York. Anyone hear back for interviews after hirevue round?
Bump
What are the exit opportunities from a role like this, would you stay in lending or is a move to REPE reasonable. I think lending is really cool btw just want to understand how the role equips you long term.
Originations ($$$ over time) / REPE / REITs (specifically mREITs) / ReDev. Really any route. Understanding debt is crucial in RE and underwriting is similar, just more conservative metrics due to IR risk
bump - anyone received a message after the hirevue?
I just got the hirevue for CRE at JPM. How technical is the superday for JPM CRE and what are some important technical knowledge that you would need to know?
Thanks!
what were the hirevue questions?
received a hirevue
Does anyone know when results from the hirevues are coming back? Is there a second round before super day or how does it work?
has anyone received a first round interview post hirevue?
I did my hirevue around the same time you did and I got dinged a week or two ago so if you haven't that might be a good sign.
how do you know you were dinged? did it say rejected when you sign in online?
Has anyone had any updates? I haven’t been dinged but also haven’t heard a peep out of JPM. They must not be reviewing on a rolling basis?
Had a first round post-Hirevue offer come through last week, turned it down due to a signed contract at a boutique multifamily firm in my city, little tough but it's currently occurring if that's you're wondering
And your first round was for CRE and not AM?
Received an email this morning regarding super day sign up - SF office.
Just got invited to the super day in Dallas office. Just did a Hirevue. No first round or anything.
Did you network heavily?
Not really. I talked to 3 people, and one of them was the HR person that was managing the commercial real estate internship program, and she helped me out. Just got lucky because I only talked to two CRE professionals, and one of them gave me the contact info of the HR lady.
Received a super day for the Chicago Office
congrats
Is there a way to update your resume on the application?
If you get the super day invite you'll have the opportunity to upload another resume, other than that I would reach out to the campus recruiters and see if there's a way to do so.
Received superday for NY office on oct 7. Anyone else? Anyone have prior experience?
I go to a target school and the team was doing interviews for a day and a half straight, so interviews are going on , but not necessarily from the online app
Did you apply through the school handshake?
yeah, I applied thru school handshake
Which office?
jp morgan cib hospitality and general real estate banking team were recruiting
Interviews are rolling. Will continue til all spots are filled.
apparently, they hate my target so we'll see
Anyone know how many candidates usually attend a superday for this program?
Just had my superday (for SF office) - 4 interviews, with 1-2 people, all questions were behavioral i.e. tell me about a time when you failed, etc. Good luck!
same. good luck to everyone - from now on in this thread pls mention the office you interviewed. I was for NYC. when do you think we'll hear back?
had mine in dallas today. I say within one week we'll hear back. Just curious, how many other students were interviewing with you in NYC?
I actually have no idea. the superday was blended with different offices. seemed like there were about 10-12 students in total interviewing across NY, Dallas, Chicago and maybe one more office
Hopefully soon, I had a SD for CRE today for the NY office.
When did they say we’d hear back?
they said in less than 2 weeks hopefully
Had my interview last Wednesday and I just got the call today that I got an offer for CRE Los Angeles. Goodluck to everyone who is interested in CRE!
not CRE but i had a superday for CCBSI at JPM's LA office and they haven't gotten back to me yet even though someone already got an offer...should i just assume i got waitlisted/dinged? did people in your interview group hear back the same day, or did everyone hear back in a week like you did?
Honestly no idea. If you don’t hear by Friday you might not have gotten it? But I’m not a recruiter lol so I really don’t know just taking a guess. But hopefully you get it good luck!!!
Congrats on the offer. Is this for their Asset Management or Lending groups?
Lending
Anyone hear back from CRE in New York?
I had my superday last week for CRE in NYC and I am still waiting to hear back. Hbu?
same, still haven't heard anything
Same here - had my superday on 10/8, they said give it two weeks though
Is there multiple super days? I had mine on Wednesday Oct 7th.
I got my superday through a diversity program so it is definitely possible they had multiple
Yeah there are multiple super days. But just heads up some of my friends got rejected by JPM and recruiters actually CALLED them to tell them they got rejected. So good luck!
Did anyone that interview for CRE at the NYC office receive an offer or a rejection. I know they said to give it two weeks but I have heard that if you do not hear back soon it means you got rejected.
Who told you that?
A girl who did an investment banking internship at JP. She got her offer right away. But I also know someone for whom it took them 2 weeks to get the offer. So, I just want to know what it means that I haven't gotten an offer or a rejection yet.
I applied for CRE NYC and haven't heard back yet from the superday. Best advice I can give is to try not to think about it too much because there's nothing you can really do at this point in the process to change that or control it so head up and stay positive. Cheers
I didn’t hear back from J.P. and today is Friday... I guess we didn’t get it
Thanks! I will take your advice :) For now I will hope for the best
Has anyone heard anything on the Chicago office?
anyone hear back at this point?
Nope😂
Nope😂
You would think more than 1 person across all 8 offices in this thread would have received an offer.
I thought that maybe by today we would hear back.
So based on this discussion no one that interviewed for CRE for the NYC office has heard back. How is that possible. Has anyone heard back?
I applied in Chicago and haven’t heard back. Superday was Oct 7th
How long did they tell you it would take to get a response. For me they said 2 weeks.
wow so no one has heard back from Dallas, Chicago or NYC?
From my understanding no one from those offices has heard back
Unaware of anyone from SF hearing back either, just sent a follow up to the recruitment team
Just got a rejection email
What office? And was the rejection email from the superday?
had my superday for the dallas office on Oct 7th. just got rejection letter today
How long did they tell you it would take to hear back?
