How long it takes to hear back for S&T from Goldman

Hi, had super day on a Wednesday, haven’t heard back from them. Based on my calculations, they only interviewed 6 people that day. Am I waitlisted or are they interviewing more people then make a final decision? If I don’t hear back by end of Friday, I think I’m out right? :(

Based on the WSO threads, the response time after a Goldman Sachs interview can vary. In some cases, candidates have reported hearing back within a week, while others have had to wait longer. It's not uncommon for the process to extend beyond the initial expected timeline, especially if there are multiple candidates and rounds of interviews involved.

Given that you had your super day on a Wednesday and it's now approaching the end of the week, it's still within a reasonable timeframe to wait for a response. It's not necessarily an indication that you are waitlisted or out of the running. Hiring decisions can be complex and involve multiple layers of approval, which can sometimes delay the communication process.

If you don't hear back by the end of Friday, it doesn't automatically mean you're out. However, if you reach the middle of the next week without any communication, it might be a good idea to follow up politely with the recruiter or HR representative to express your continued interest and inquire about any updates in the status of your application. This can demonstrate your enthusiasm for the position while also potentially giving you more clarity on where you stand in the hiring process.

Based on my calculations, likely out. Interviewed at GS - albeit IBD - and usually offers come out at latest within 48 hours. After that, you’ll either get the rejection email or a waitlist email.
