Lol is this even a question?
am a bit scared about BofA's culture, can anyone elaborate?
Why are you scared? Because of some comments people who don't work there wrote online?
All banks can have good or bad culture. Within a bank, you can have good or bad culture.
Were you not able to gauge the BofA HK culture during interviews, networking etc?
All things equal, BofA over CS any day of the week. It's not like the CS culture will be magically better during a massive restructuring of the bank dude...
Two years ago would have been a solid question, now though...
Brehhhhhhh, if you don't call out the groups no one can really help you. By and large BofA pays better and is a better bank across the board. But I'm sure there are one or two groups at Credit Suisse that are worth it if your other option is like ABS or something from BofA.
i think interns are in generalist pool for both firms so couldn't provide info regarding this:(
BofA regardless of geography or group at this point (assuming IB). With CSFB focusing on the US business, I especially wouldn't accept an offer in HK for a position that may not exist soon. Much higher chance you'd be let go and forced to re-recruit in a down market.
this answer is so obvious that i'm genuinely surprised OP needs to ask it
