GS Emerging Leaders Series

Hey Everyone!

I am a WHITE current freshman in college. I want to apply for the GS Emerging Leaders Series, however saw it is a Diversity program I guess.

No chance of getting in as a white guy? Ridiculous.

Could I just answer with "Prefer not to say", once they ask about my skin color?

Thanks

Based on the WSO Dataset, it's important to approach applications to diversity programs with integrity. The GS Emerging Leaders Series, like many diversity initiatives, is designed to promote inclusivity and representation of traditionally underrepresented groups in the industry. While it's understandable to want to participate in such prestigious programs, it's crucial to respect the purpose behind them.

If the program explicitly states it is for diverse candidates, applying as someone who does not meet these criteria and choosing "Prefer not to say" to potentially bypass these requirements might not be the best approach. It could be seen as lacking transparency and integrity, qualities highly valued in the finance industry.

Instead, consider looking for other programs or initiatives within GS or other firms that are open to all applicants and focus on enhancing your profile through networking, academic achievements, and involvement in finance-related activities. This way, you align more closely with the ethical standards expected in the industry and still work towards your career goals effectively.
