Pictet
Pictet used to or still has some L/S arm or smaller funds. How does their compensation compare to the pods one? How does the asset allocation work? How is the culture like?

Career Resources
I have many friends in several divisions of Pictet (PE, AM) and culture there seems great. Well trained, well paid, good community. People in Geneva tends to be proud of working for Pictet.
Regarding the HFs, I have less info but spoke to a PM of a L/S once. Market neutral, they manage $2bn in a team of 3 people (all PMs). As for their other funds in general, they tend to have a bunch of PMs managing the strategy, so much different from a pod structure. Usually teams are very small and PMs are in charge without needing a full crew of analysts. That's true for both the L/S and the LO they have. There might be senior analysts, but it's definitely not run with a P72/Citadel mentality.
Not an aggressive shop, leaning more towards stability and consistency.
Any clue how compensation looks in Geneva at the associate level for a high finance type role like PE or REPE?
Not easy to compare to large PE funds given GVA isn't crowded with those, but a person with 4YOE might get everything from 120k to 200k (base). Lower end for small shops (mostly family offices & some VCs) and higher end for PE positions in commodity companies. Probably 140k-160k base is more likely. But again, GVA doesn't offer much in that field. Talking CHF salaries. Taxes much lower than LDN and Continental Europe ofc, but cost of living higher than Continental Europe
