Associate 1

Interview started with 2 senior associates meeting me at the same time. Off the bat was quite disappointed with how they were looking forward to meeting me. Their introductions were of 15 seconds each, not mentioning names of previous employees (very average houses as I already knew from their linkedin profiles from when I got told who I was going to meet). I could generally sense they didn't really care what my story was and that they were mainly concerned with getting out of the meeting room for some call they had. Technical and fit questions quite straight forward, mainly around why HL and why restructuring (my background is BB IBD) and questions around debt and changes in 3 statement projections.
Post this I had 4 hours to build an LBO model and a short word statement on whether or not the company modelled was a good investment.
A week later I met with 1 VP and 1 Director who seemed pretty interesting and made me feel much more at home. Mainly fit questions and understanding who I was. VP had 2 technical simple questions on valuation and debt.
A couple of days later met with more senior members of the team who wanted to meet me and know about me before any formal offer was made.
