Please describe the interview / hiring process.
An alumni at the firm did an on campus info session and meet and greet that lead to me filling out an application. After applying, I was invited to a first round interview a few weeks later. The interview was a one on one zoom call with a recruiter from the firm that had only been there for two weeks. The questions were non-technical but the conversation itself was very poor. The interviewer never looked at me on the call except for here and there and was instead looking at her other monitor and typing the entire time. There was little to no conversational aspect of the interview and was instead just Q&A with little to no emotion or engagement from the recruiter.
