Got the chance to do the PST even without sending in cover letter. The PST is a thing in which you either you have it or you don't. The PST is 1 hour with 26 questions. When I did the PST, it was about a boat company CEO looking to use lease structure like auto company to expand revenue. The second case in the PST is about fashion and calculating a bunch of ratios, and interpret the ratios. The third case is about a non-profit organization. Do not use the practice tests as a sample of the level of the PST, but use it to guide your way of thinking on the PST. If you cannot grasp the way PST wants you to think, you cannot pass it.
