Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Reached out to CEO, VP reached out a day later to schedule a phone interview. No technical questions, just talk about experiences, what you did during the summer, what your marks are. Was not invited to the second round. All behavioral and no technicals whatsoever. The firm didn't really impress me, lower mid-market deals, and only 1 analyst with a bunch of MD's which means there is probably not a lot of deal flow or they are cheap on hiring, neither of which is a good sign. The backgrounds of the MD's are all from industry, not IB. The only good thing is that their office is located in Manhattan NY and cross-border acquisitions.
