Got a tough decision on my hands...

I have received 2 Summer Analyst offers in London following ACs in the past week:

Macquarie Capital - Infrastructure Team

RBC Capital Markets - Global Investment Banking (team to be decided)

Have just listed the two in the order that I received the offers in, so not trying to show a preference to either at this stage.

The two positions seem really closely matched:
- both 9 weeks
- both IBD
- both firms seem to have similar industry strengths (infrastructure, resources, oil & gas, industrials)
- got on well with the people I met/ interviewed with at both firms
- same base salary

I have a first round phone interview scheduled with an associate from Macquarie Capital LA office. Has anyone gone through their first rounds recently and can possibly give me a heads up on what to expect for?

Were they heavy on behavioral? What were the technicals like? Any other noticeable things? Any insight will be deeply appreciated!!!

I have a superday with Macquarie this week, so I'm interested in learning more about this Australian investment bank's North American presence. There hasn't been much talk on this site about Macquarie in the last few years with exception to its 1 or 2 year period of poor bonuses during the crisis. Also, like the BBs, the bank has principal investment capabilities, but I am curious if there's any connection between its advisory and PE investing practices or if the two practices are strictly divided like they are at the BBs.

Which internship holds more weight on the Street for full-time opportunities?
(I'm most interested in media/entertainment: TMT at Wells, TMET at Macquarie)
for Wells: NYC preferred over Charlotte, SFran.

I'm having the final round interview with MacCap HK soon. Both ECM and Resources team are giving me opportunity to join them. So I actually have interviewed with both teams.

I'm thinking to choose Resources over ECM. Does anyone have any information on how good is Resources group there? Say,compared to its industrials,real estate, etc. and Resources groups in other IBs.

Does anyone have information on Macquarie IBD in Los Angeles? I have a first round interview with them coming up and I'd like to get all the background info I can.

I did a few searches for them on WSO and Google, but I was unable to find anything too helpful except that they do real estate structured financing.

Has anybody heard from them re: 2nd round interviews? I took my psycho test on Thurs last week and haven't heard from them since.

Applying for Macquarie Capital's SA program for 2010 and noticed that besides some product specialist groups (ECM, DCM) there were several industry groups but no independent M&A, restructuring, or leveraged finance groups. I was wondering if Mac Capital is similar to Goldman in that its people in in the different industry groups do all the M&A advisory, IPOs, and other activity themselves.
