Great process overall. Perceptions were generally standard. Great experience in that they really tested your ability to understand the company and investment banking as a whole. They look at your social media in depth as well. In addition watch out for the regulatory affairs.

As this was an internal transfer, the interview was just a 1 on 1 with the Hiring Manager. Overall, I recruit for the bank so I will mention here the interview process:

1. We receive CVs from external preferred Recruitment Agencies;
2. We set panel interviews with at least 3 Panellists, there is no standard list of questions. However, we combine both Behavioural and Technical questions;
3. To make it to the next round, at least 2 Panellists have to recommend a "Hire". A second interview is set up with a more Senior Manager and another member of the management team;
4. Should the candidate be successful, a tentative offer is made subject to Background Checks.
Interview Questions
What are the key risks that Investment Banks are currently facing and what risks do Investment Banking activities pose to the parent Commercial Banking groups?
How will the Dodd-Frank rules impact Proprietary trading activities? In what way will this impact the overall performance of the company?
