Trading Summer Analyst

I was selected for interview for this role after completing the spring week program this easter. I had 4 interviews each independent with different trading desks. All interviews followed a very similar structure; begin with 'why do you want to do trading?' and sometime a few questions about the markets (what's the FTSE/Gold/Oil trading at today?).After that all the interviews were really focused on numerical ability and brainteasers. Three out of the four fired a series of mental arithmetic questions at me, here are a few examples; 18^2, 7^4, 5/32 as a decimal. The interviews finished with a more general discussion about what i was intersted in in the news recently and current economics affairs (I'm an economics student.) Also, one of the interviewers got me to play a game of connect4 vs him!
