Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Was contacted by HR to conduct an initial interview at their NY HQ.
Interview was interesting given the HR rep wasn't quite familiar with the role.
Interview was fit based and the rep questioned me to figure out how I would fit into the group, which had a very "harsh culture". I was asked about my modeling and quant abilities. After hearing more about the role and the groups "interesting sense of humor" and lack of interaction with the rest of the firm, I declined to continue my candidacy with Fortress.
