It was with an Audit Manager from the office I was applying to. They asked me competency based questions based off of my CV and the statement I provided them with that supplemented my application. There was one interview only but there were previous 'coaching calls' with HR staff. Just make sure you are aware of the ACA and how to get the qualification with regards to exams and practical work experience. Further to this, I would recommend having good questions to the interviewer about their role in order to make sure you demonstrate interest in their area. The company was extremely nice and helpful when providing information about the application process via coaching calls and regular communications. Furthermore, there was a Q and A drop-in session they provided to ask any questions about the final round interview.

Everyone seemed nice during the process and I was quite impressed with the regular updates provided via email, workday and telephone. Overall, I encountered 1 Audit Manager and 1 HR Member of staff. Both were extremely helpful.
Interview Questions
Why do you want to complete the ACA? How does it tie into the division you applied for?
Describe a time when you analysed data? How did you go about it?
How do we rank in the industry in the United Kingdom?

The hiring process was very quick. I applied online then received an interview invitation. The interview consisted of two 30 minutes back to back interview, one on one with a partner of the firm. It was very basic behavioral for the first one and the second one had me introduced myself then ask questions (so it was like me interviewing the firm and getting to learn more).

Interview
Fairly straight forward. Asked to walk through a DCF, multiples, Excel skills, CAPM, Beta, etc. The interview mainly involved around technical questions, with seemingly few personality fit and behavioral questions. Easy to get by with a strong understanding of basic corporate finance concepts.
Interview Questions
Was asked extensively about CAPM and Beta. The interviewer was clearly seeking a very specific response, which I was able to provide after a lot of prodding in the right direction. However, in my roundabout way to the very specific correct answer, I was able to give several incorrect answers and explanations that demonstrated I understood the subject well, although I did not arrive at the desired answer on my own.

Additionally, was asked basic Excel modeling concepts - VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.

Interview
I submitted a resume my resume to the university career center and was selected for an on-campus interview. I had a one on one interview with the MD and was asked mostly fit/personality questions. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. After a week, I was notified I made it to the next round at their corporate office downtown. This was a super day of sorts, but the position required a winter start, so it eliminated some competition for the valuation role. The interview process consisted of a group interview and a 1 on 1 with the other senior. Once again, nothing overly technical. They really just wanted to see if you weren't an idiot. After the interview process, we were taken out to lunch with some members of the team and other interviewers. This was a chance to show your ability to communicate in groups and how you would handle it in front of your competition. After lunch, we were told we'd hear back soon. Two weeks later I received an offer.
Interview Questions
Truly, I was asked mostly fit questions. Due to the niche services offered by the team, I assume they went into the hiring process knowing they would have to teach most of their model. A typical question I received was, "I see xxx on your resume, can you explain your thought process when you performed this task?" They wanted to see if I was capable of critically thinking. No trick questions were asked. The team was small, so they really wanted to see if I was coachable and someone they could work with on a daily basis.

Interview
The interview process started at the college campus and was a simple interview that was very conversation like.
Interview Questions
Most of the questions were centered around the interviewee and was more conversation like. Since the position requires a lot of face to face contact with clients as well as people on your team, I believe the interview was focused on seeing how well you can keep a conversation with a stranger. Most questions keyed in on the interviewee's skills and interest and how his/her's experiences can relate to the job at hand. The interview process also expected a lot of questions to be asked by the interviewee.
