We at HTG have three distinct components of our business: platform, market making, and managed futures.
In our platform business, HTG partners with experienced traders and trading groups who want reliable infrastructure, financial backing, and administrative support while maintaining a measure of independence in their work. We have agreements with traders and groups spanning the world of strategies, products, execution platforms, and approaches. The very diverse approaches of HTG include commodities, indices, FX, and interest rates trades executed in high-frequency, colocated facilities, on trading floors or over the phone.

In our market making business, we are a growing liquidity provider in OTC products enabled by clearing facilities such as NYMEX’s Clearport. Currently active in energy products and FX, we believe this business will grow as more products are centrally cleared. The exciting prospect of swap execution facilities (SEFs) and centrally cleared products (CCPs) will provide more transparency, improved price discovery, and trading opportunities.

The final aspect of our business is allocating capital to commodity trading advisers (CTAs).

HTG Capital Partners has a highly-experienced IT, back office, accounting and HR staff. We also provide our traders with access to the world’s major markets through our connectivity and memberships in the CME Group of Exchanges, ICE, LIFFE, NYSE LIFFE US, and Eurex. On the cash securities side, we connect directly to eSpeed and BrokerTec. We offer customized trading agreements and our business model allows us to provide favorable percentage agreements.
