Interview Questions
The companies strategy is to acquire family businesses that the owner is retiring and there is currently no on to handle it. So, they asked me if I were Kamylon what would I invest in. I found this to be a tough question because who can speak well about local businesses (especially as a college student). They also asked about views on the market as well as the basic why PE, why Kamylon. No guide style technicals to worry about. Actually maybe an accounting question or two. Overall it was an easy interview.

The interview process starts with a phone screen, and then they bring you into the corporate office for a second/final round interview. Pretty much anyone and everyone who is available will interview you since it is a small office comprised of 2 interns, 1 senior associate, 2 VPs, and 4 or 5 more senior people who are making the major investment and management decisions. There is a heavy focus on your prior experience with cold calling, your penchant for making cold calls, and your receptiveness to talk to business owners. Mentioning your competitiveness is definitely a strength that would resonate with this company.
