Interview
The people are very nice throughout hiring process. Some try to intimidate during the interview process. Interview process is very formal, questions ranged from tell me about yourself, why Nielsen, tell me about a time you faced a challenge, tell me about a time you used data to solve a problem and a few case questions based on what type of analyst role you wanted to go into.
Interview Questions
There was a case question regarding what to do in a given situation where a client wanted a product with a smaller consumer base vs. one with a larger consumer base but had a lower quality. This had to do with being interested in the client engagement practice within this specific position.

Interview
Submitted my resume through school's site, got interview request. Interviewed with two VPs. They asked general interview questions (tell me about yourself, what is your dream job, where do you see yourself in 5 years). Waited a week, then got selected for the Super Day in Chicago. Received an email with a case study we were expected to get familiar with. Once we got to the hotel, we dropped off our things and began to interview. We interviewed with about 6 interviewers per candidate. We were put into groups then brought to dinner. After dinner we converged and pieced our projects together for our presentation in the morning. That morning we presented and mingled with a few of their current employees.
Interview Questions
Walk me through a time you dealt with a slacker. I explained that I address the issue while not hurting the group's objective. If that does not resolve anything, I take it to my manager. Drew from a story where I insisted that management let go a family member. Nothing personal, but was for betterment of the team.
Why Nielsen? Why this position? I believe Nielsen has a strong brand that allows me to capitalize on their market share. I would like this position because it would give me the chance to rotate between the different functions of the Finance department, providing me with the most exposure and insight into figuring out which path I would like to pursue at the end of the program.

Interview
The company usually does a phone screen with a behavioral interview and then a 1-day final round interview process where you have several 1-on-1 conversations with the people you will work with. The questions will span behavioral, background, experience in media, and asking about certain scenarios that might come up on the job and how you would approach them.
Interview Questions
One question was around the specific capabilities nielsen has and how it relates to the competition. This was surprising because that sort of information is not very widely available to people outside of the firm.
Behavioral questions around times you worked in a team and overcame obstacles, dealt with a difficult client, and delivered projects under high pressure.
