Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Legal and Compliance - Attorney Interview - BAAM in NYC - 1 phone screener with recruiter, 2 rounds with Sr. Associates and 2 rounds with AVPs. The final round was with a Sr. VP. Each interviewer mostly asked about my previous experience as in-house counsel and gauged what my approach to in-house counsel was. The Sr. VP had the most interesting questions, asked about specific past examples for certain skills and was the most challenging and most difficult to read during the interview. Each interview was very quickly scheduled either the same day or the next and the interviewers were all very friendly and pleasant. The position was for a practice area which I was brand new to/very little knowledge about, which primarily contributed to a no offer. The recruiters were very responsive and even provided interview specific feedback after each interview and provided reasons for denial - which I found super helpful.
