Interview
I had a phone call (initial screen by HR) followed by a phone call with one of the Managing Directors
Interview Questions
There weren't any difficult or unexpected interview questions, just basic fit interview questions like "why investment banking, why MUFG, what experiences do you have that correlates with the position"; general basic fit questions. I did not get passed the 2nd round phone call; however one of the analysts who I had previously spoken to suggested that there was a superday round where you meet the team and should be prepared for general technical questions. He seemed to stress that they look for quantitative skills so be ready to highlight those skills if you have any.

Interview
I applied online. A few weeks/month later a recruiter emailed me up to set up an initial phone screen. After I passed the phone screen, I was set up on a phone call with the hiring manager who I would later find out would become my staffer. Passed that and went on to a Superday with 4x30 min interviews with each of the major department heads that I would work with. After a couple days I was called again by my staffer to see if I was still interested. Received a verbal offer from the recruiter the next day.
Interview Questions
Everything was mostly behavioral. "Tell me a time when..." Asked to "walk through resume/experience" as well as my education and why I pursued a degree in what I chose (Accounting). They were interested in past experience and the work I did there.

Honestly was not hard at all. It ended up really becoming me asking a lot of questions to show my interest in the way the finance department worked in the bank. The hardest thing was being able to talk to each interviewer for the full 30 minutes and some of them were even cut short.

Background Check
Interview
I applied online on Indeed and got a call back from HR. I had one phone conversation with HR which was the general questions about me to get to know me easily. Shortly after I was offered a pure phone superday which consisted of another five people with a variety of different questions. Each one asked similar questions but overall it was an simpler interview due to the work that was asked of me for the summer. Led to much more responsibilities which I am grateful for.
Interview Questions
Run me through how you would organize this set of data? I was given or told about a set of data and was asked how I would go about organizing it in a way where the group would be able to legibly read it easily. Looking back on it, it was much easier than I felt when I first went through with it but I think it was an enjoyable experience overall.

Interview
Received an interview after applying online and networking with a few from the group. Interview consisted of a three, one-on-one interviews. It was very behavioral and resume-based, although I received a few technicals based on my background. If you prepared like you did for an IB interview, you should have absolutely no problems from a technical aspect.
Interview Questions
While not overly difficult, I had a rather difficult time crafting an answer for "why Union Bank". I was asked this question in every interview I had, and it was obvious that they wanted a really strong answer / connection with the firm.

Interview
I had three interviews. First was with an associate which was based on general cultural fit and very basic technical questions. Second interview was with the managing director who the poistion reprted to. THis interview was also mainly fit along with a few general resume questions. Final round was sent to San Francisco to speak with the head of investments and the CEO. Both interviews were very basic and based on fit.
Interview Questions
What was the last book you read? I told them the last book I read was on LBO modeling and that I was interested in honing my valuation skills. This was primarily indicative of a general interest in finance beyond the requirements of the job at hand. It seemed to go over well but I think they just wanted to make sure I read and that I could communicate my ideas and thoughts clearly and without exaggeration.
Which investors do you follow? I answered that I like to follow both long term investors like Warren Buffet as well as some of the classical guys like Graham. I also threw in some contemporary hedge fund guys and commented on the different strategies they used.

Interview
The interview was focused primarily on fit and competency. Asked for a brief "walk me through your resume" and "why Union Bank." No real technical questions were asked other than "why do you want to go into finance?" Overall, it was a very easy and conversational interview.
Interview Questions
Why Union Bank was probably the hardest question for me. I didn't particularly want to go into commercial banking, but it was one of my only options so I had to convey passion for the field.

Interview
The job posting was pointed out to me online. I applied and was contacted very shortly after by a recruiter from the bank. I went in for the interview and spoke with three members of the team. All were very nice and informative. All questions were answered and it very straightforward, no curveballs were thrown. Unfortunately in the end they were looking for someone with a little more experience, so I did not receive an offer.
Interview Questions
None of the questions were really difficult to me as I had experience, so they didn't quiz me on technicals. The following question did stick out to me, "Why do you want to pursue a career in this specialty field?" I basically described what I enjoyed about it and why I was passionate about it.
