Coming from someone who has been in a consulting role @ a Big 4. They probably won't give you a relocation bonus. You can ask, but they will probably just chuckle.

All the strategy practices at Big 4 give relocation bonuses AFAIK. (Not sure about the tech side.)

But to the OP: you can try, but you have no leverage to negotiate your salary. They most likely won't budge.

Congrats on the offer. Signing bonus and relocation bonus are different. It might be hard to negotiate salary since it's an entry level position. Be cautious about who you talk to.

Salary - not a chance if you're the cookie-cutter straight out of undergrad. Deloitte is pretty good about giving campus hires in the same office the same base salary, etc.

Relocation - not standard practice outside s&o but you'll have more luck trying to get some of your moving expenses offset (they'll prob counter with an offer to front some of your salary as a loan).

well, I just found out the salary formula has variables for school and major. So basically I got the lowest end of both. -___-

You do realize moving costs after graduation for a job are tax writeoffs right??

Deloitte does not necessarily pay differently by school, especially for the BTA program (most hires these days are getting the same starting salary). Variations in pay have, at certain points, existed between federal BTAs and non-federal, but these disparities seem to be disappearing. Now, if you're hired off-cycle, i.e. to START off-cycle, then that may be a different story. And to JohnKGH, I know of people from all sorts of different schools, in different programs (HCA, BTA, BA) all making the exact same as first-years in their respective programs (unless they have a grad degree).

We'll have to disagree on this. I know several senior managers at deloitte who have a first hand look at the offers. There are definite sizable discrepancies.
