CBA with little/no background info case q.?

Had an interview where I was asked to scan a doc saying equivalent to this:

Company X, a telecoms company known originally for phones, has had increasingly lower profits over last few years; they recently brought in a new CEO from a different sector background. They've received a hammering in the press esp for being disconnected from their customers. The Board has three strategies for growth; diversify into TV by acquiring a cheap now loss making brand name, expand into a different market e.g. Africa/SA and thirdly create a new phone, though they are behind competitors on the R&D.

Give a cost benefit analysis of these strategies and suggestions for the future?

Just want to compare your answers to mine. Would be v grateful for suggestions. Good thinking exercise in my mind.
