Corporate Strategy vs. Strategic Planning
Hi guys,
I was wondering what exactly the difference is between corporate strategy and strategic planning.
Is it the same or are there any differences or nuances?
Google is unfortunately unclear about it.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best.
Hey MinusPlus, sorry about the delay, but are any of these useful:
You're welcome.
This can be different from company to company but I'll give my interpretation:
Corporate Strategy focuses on a macro view of the company. What are the market trends and how will the company address these trends, focusing on M&A, Go-to market strategies, new product launches basically external facing efforts related to growth.
Strategic planning is responsible for operationalizing these strategies, placing them on a time line, and determining how they will be paid for and the required resources for execution.

Excellent explanation!
