EY OTS staff recruitment requirements

Hey everyone! I am a Master's students (non-MBA) at a non-target school in US. I am looking to apply for OTS at TAS EY in fall for the staff position. Could anyone here share their experience with OTS staff recruitment? Have combed the internet but couldn't find much. Also, any insights on how realistic are my chances of landing this position would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Its operation transaction services (OTS) within EY's Transactions Advisory Services (TAS) practice. Its basically a sub-service of TAS

A couple of things really:

What are my chances of getting in with a non-MBA background? I am networking and have landed a connection with a senior manager (in another group) who has told me he could forward my resume when the time comes. But how should I rely on this channel alone?

Again, being from a non-target school, is there any point in even applying for EY-Parthenon? I would be applying to their analyst positions but would need networking. But is it realistic?

Finally, how much travel should I expect in OTS? And what are the exit opps?

Thanks!

Happy to help... to your points below:

  • If you're coming from a non-target background, a referral to a recruiter who works with UG (staff) recruiting is your best bet. I went to a non-target and have seen rising seniors be successful, however they were all really good on paper (>3.7 GPA, IB or consulting internships, etc.)
    • I don't really get the point of this question, pessimists sit on the sideline. If every time I asked myself "is there really even a point..." for anything I did, I wouldn't be where I am today. If you're going to do something, do it with passion or not at all
  • For legacy OTS, it largely depends on the project, but I would expect to travel Mon-Thurs every week. However, there are groups that are DD focused that seldom travel

Hope this helps. For what it's worth I'm a Manager in this group and my UG barely gets a look from EY advisory, let alone EY-Parthenon, just gotta be willing to grind

Hey, thanks so much for this. Your comment was especially refreshing to read because I recently talked to a manager in the NY office and he was like since the last year Parthenon and OTS have had the same recruitment i.e. MBA from target schools. And he actually advised I apply for performance improvement advisory practice instead and look for a way to transfer to S&O after a while. So I wont lie, I am kinda bummed lol!
