KPMG - TS Integration & Separation team

Hi,

Next July, I will start a 6-months internship within the Paris office of KPMG, within the Transaction Services - Integration & Separation team.

From what I have understood (and found really interesting) during my interviews, the main purpose of the team is to help creating value during the m&a deals by identifying and assessing synergies. They also help to separate activities during carve-outs by elaborating a separation plan taking into account the risks etc.
Also, there is a Post-deal aspect, as the team follows the operationnal performance of the new entity, and tries to optimize it.

As I will be looking for a second internship right after this one, and being interested in joining the m&a department of a bank, I would like to know if this internship gives a good added value to my profil and hopefully will help me join an IB later ?

Thank you in advance,
