MBB "NYC-Lite" offices

Does anyone have any experience with NJ/Connecticut offices? For Bain/BCG, my school seems to have 0 placement whatsoever straight into the NYC offices (there are managers/partners, but no undergrad level higher when doing a LinkedIN search). Strangely, there is some McK NYC placement but presumably, that is still very difficult. As a result, most kids who want to work in the city seem to end up in NJ or Connecticut offices and just end up living in the city to be with their friends.

What are the "NYC-Lite" offices like in terms of exits and MBA placement compared to T1 offices? If they pay for your MBA, do you need to return to the same office or is that an opportunity to switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in a NYC-lite office at an MBB. TBH Office doesn't matter at MBB. Most people I know specifically sought after this office. I'd think about what industries you're interested in, because that will help make your decision. For example, at BCG the NJ office does a lot of retail/consumer and healthcare. The NYC office you'll find a big variety of cases.
