NYC Summer Analyst taxes?
Anyone care to share how much of their paycheck was taken out for taxes? I will be working for a consulting firm in Manhattan next summer making $35/hr @ 40 hr standard work weeks and would like to try and budget my after tax earnings.
Around 36% - 38%. Tax varies depending on your permanent address too. If you lost your address within the city you get taxed more I think
I heard you could get some of this back at the end of the year when you file your taxes, is that true? 36-38% seems awfully high
