SA (Summer Associate) at MBB firm - do you get hired straight way?
Hi consultants. I am in the first year of my MBA and a MBB firm is interested in offering me a Summer Associate role. It is 10 weeks in duration. Although I'm sure that the recruiter will explain the details of the program, but I wanted to ask experienced consultants one thing. Do people get hired directly after the program (as an associate) or do they offer you a position only after your MBA? Please help.
Like all other summer positions, they will make you an offer once you go back to school. However, the offer is contingent upon successfully completing your MBA program
Thanks for the response nighthawk4819.

Hi All, Has anyone heard from your summer intern applications? From what I know, McKinsey and Bain's deadline have already passed for more a week.
I'm a PhD student applying for McKinsey summer associate. Got turned down. BCG also turned my application down.
Hey I'm a PhD student too. I haven't heard from them yet. My status is still submitted application. Not sure what happened.
What's your research area? Do you know what kind of criteria they hold for screening PhD's resumes? I applied like two-three weeks ago, too, and still haven't heard from them.
I got my offer letter for BCG undergrad last week
