Waitlisted at MBB? How to proceed?

Hi everyone! Looking for some help regarding what would be the best approach for my current situation.

Last Friday around noon I had my final round of interviews at one of the MBB (Latin American office). My last interviewer (Partner and Managing Director for the office) said they should be back with a decision fairly soon. From this, my take was that I was either a clear ding or a clear yes and that I would get an answer fairly quick as well (maybe Friday afternoon or during Monday).

Wednesday is here and I havent heard from them. So what are your thoughts on this? Am I a clear ding and I just haven't realized it? Should I drop a line to my HR contact to see how things are moving forward and to see if she can shed some light on how the process is going? Anyone has gone through a similar experience in a Latam MBB office?

Thanks all for your thoughts!

I didn't interview for Latam offices but what I've seen in the US is that if you're a definite yes they'll call you within 2 business days. If you're a definite no, you'll hear back by Friday the following week. And if you're on the waitlist, you may be notified the following week or not be told at all for up to a month.

I would follow up this Friday.
