How Is Deutsche Bank For Equity Research?
I know that DB sold their equity S&T business, but it seems like ER is still going strong at DB. I still see news articles that hold DB analysts to high regard, so I was wondering if ER at DB would be a good start to my career.
I am currently recruiting for a ER role at DB, and I have a good chance to land the role, but I would like to know your guys' opinion on this. Asset Management would be an ideal exit opp for me, and I will plan to stay in ER for about 2 years.
They sized down ER massively last year - kept analysts for growthy sectors (prob TMT / healthcare) only. They are basically done, unless someone here tells me otherwise.
It's been almost totally gutted. They might have a few good analysts left, but none in any sectors I touch. At my firm, DB went from a top 10 broker to not even on the list over the past five years. I would seriously try to find somewhere else to work. It's a really screwed up company and hard to imagine how that changes.
I guess folks can't accept that fact
Comes down to your analyst. They have a good consumer apparel analyst.
