I know that three-piece suits come off dandyish, but I am wondering if it would be fine to wear a V-neck vest or cardigan. Sometimes the weather here is Boston can get too cold for a suit but not cold enough for an overcoat, and one would be surprised at the difference a wool sweater can make.
They're all neutral colours; charcoal, navy, light grey. Nothing with patterns.
