Watch people: thoughts on Breitling Watches vs saving for a higher end brand?

Watch people: thoughts on Breitling Watches vs saving for a higher end brand? I’m considering a nice Breitling but thinking maybe I should wait a year or two and buy a more luxury brand. what do you think forum?

Personally, I do not think that Breitling watches go well with suits. But of course, horological taste is subjective. In my opinion, for the same price range, I would go for a Jaeger-LeCoultre. Two prominent examples of their beautifully sophisticated models are the Reverso, and the Master Ultra Thin. Keep in mind however, these are dress watches, on calf-leather straps. If you wish to go for a versatile watch, with a metal bracelet, I would recommend the Rolex Datejust (ref. 126234 or 126200).
