Am I screwing myself over for future recruiting? Headhunter process

Hi,

As the headhunter process is kicking into full speed for pre-MBA hiring, I feel a little in the dark about the entire process.

Specifically, if I do recruit now and end up not landing an offer, will I be "blacklisted" if I attempt to recruit during my 2nd year for being a crappy candidate the first time around? I'll be mostly looking into hedge funds and a few PE funds here and there.

I know that's the case if I renege on an offer, but just curious as to how headhunters and buyside funds deal with candidates.

Really appreciate the advice :D
