Ghosted after DE Shaw super day (rotational associate)
Was completely ghosted after 2 rounds of interviews + super day for DE Shaw's rotational associates program. Is this a common experience?

Did you ever hear back?
Lol… I interviewed for the same position 2 years and after superdays during reference checks they also completely ghosted me
Glad to see they’re keeping it consistent after all this time!
Was ghosted after I did a case study.
How long ago was this
Breaking News: Guys on an internet forum get surprised when D.E. Shaw acts like D.E. Shaw
This is probably the most D.E. Shaw thing I have ever heard, being ghosted. Me and a good friend of mine recently applied for their internship, my friend literally had zero finance experience but was from a target school, I have 2 HF experiences SM but non-target, I think you guys know how that ended right. My friend got the offer, but before that spoke to the HR and they said that offer would be sent in a week or something like that because he had other exploding offers, they ghosted him for a month, he lost one of the offers, luckily the other guys extended, my friend did the sigma thing to do, wait for the offer and when he got it asked them get lost.
It gets even better, I initially thought this was the case for intern/graduate hires since they are more of a burden anyways, I was networking with a few PMs at some MMs, and guess what, they literally ghost PMs and seasoned senior analysts. Don't know if it is a HR problem, or structural problem, given the recurring rate I'm inclined to think it is the latter.
