BNP deal flow is really poor, and you won’t learn as much in a bigger group like that compared to the private capital advisory group. BNP is also very European focused so not really committed to growing out the US practice that much. If you liked the people better in the pca group I would lean towards that. The exits from PCA are especially solid for private equity opportunities compared to m&a and I’m sure would look fantastic on a resume pivoting to any non finance role as well

Agreed - You want to get good experience during the internship, and BNP just won't get you that with their poor deal flow

Agree with the comments above.
Not only is BNP’s deal flow terrible, their pay and culture is also on the decline. They aren’t committed to grow in the US and have seen people over there having a delusional attitude of being superior than people at stronger banks.

Overall would avoid BNP unless that’s the only option to get a leg in to the industry.

Normally if it was another M&A shop, I’d advise to go with it.
But PCA has been picking up recently and MM shops are where the action is today and might be for a while and personally I’d always work with people I like
