I got accepted into DePaul last week, just curious if there is anyone on here that can speak about the opportunities considering the campus is in the heart of Chicago

Try searching on LinkedIn for DePaul grads
The upside is that you can intern year round. The downside is its DePaul. Not many kids coming into IB/Consulting from DePaul, especially at the top firms. Virtually zero placement at EBs/BBs/MBB. If you have other offers at halfway decent schools, take them. Source: DePaul.

LUC here.. There are a handful (less than 10) alumni i know from each school, but its possible if you put your head down. Ask for internships at any of the several LMM IB boutiques in chicago to build your resume before going into junior yr recruiting
This is much more doable than being from Loyola or UIC. Look around on linkedin. Guys from Depaul are at a lot of the major shops in one way or another. Leverage the Depaul network, they're pretty tight and vouch for each other.
Loyola grad here, DePaul and LUC are both looked at in the same light in finance so I'll give you my perspective. A good handful of kids from my class got offers and made their way into banking (WB/Baird/HL) some stayed with those firms while others transitioned to BB or PE. It's a bit more challenging than coming from a Target school but you just need to network.

Hey I’m a current student at DePaul. As said above, there isn’t much of a network in many BBs, MBBs, etc. Although, there are a lot of grads working at MMs such as Blair, Lincoln, Stout, Baird, and much more. If you get on your game early, you will have an easy time recruiting for these positions. Feel free to shoot me a PM
